There is a great industry demand for students who wish to specialize in computer information systems with applications in accounting.
In the digital age, the languages of business and technology are mutually inclusive. Dual competency doubles your skillset and positions you for success in a multitude of roles. We’ll teach you to design and maintain financial databases, assess the cost of hardware and software, and manage teams of IT professionals. These skills are crucial to commercial businesses, hospitals, banks, law offices and nonprofit organizations.
As the architect of a company’s technological infrastructure, you’ll implement and secure its accounting information system. You’ll ensure that financial information is accurate and accessible to managers, CFOs, auditors and others. These responsibilities prepare you for leadership roles as an information technology accountant, systems auditor, IT director and chief information officer.

Admission Requirements: School of Business
The requirements for admission into the undergraduate School of Business programs are the same as those for admission to Quinnipiac University.
Admission to the university is competitive, and applicants are expected to present a strong college prep program in high school. Prospective first-year students are strongly encouraged to file an application as early in the senior year as possible, and arrange to have first quarter grades sent from their high school counselor as soon as they are available.

Seamless Transfer Agreement with Gateway Community College (GCC), Housatonic Community College (HCC) and Norwalk Community College (NCC)
Under this Transfer Agreement, GCC, HCC and NCC graduates will be guaranteed admission into a bachelor’s degree program with third year (junior) status at Quinnipiac University on the condition that they:
- Graduate with an associate in arts, an associate in science in business, College of Technology engineering science, nursing or an allied health degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (this may be higher in specific programs).
- Satisfy all other Quinnipiac University transfer admission requirements and requirements for intended major.
