Cybersecurity and Information Privacy Concentration
Mandatory Courses: Students must complete all three: Administrative Law, Cybersecurity Law, and Information Privacy Law.
Core Elective Requirement: Students must complete two of the following courses: Privacy in Constitutional Law, Health Information Privacy & Security Law, Criminal Procedure Investigative, Computer & Internet Law, Data Privacy & Security Practicum, or an Externship.1
Remaining Credit Requirement: Students may satisfy the remaining number of credits by taking (a) any course listed under Core Elective Requirement that was not used to fulfill the Core Elective Requirement, or (b) any of the following courses listed in the remaining credits table below.

Writing Requirement
Students must complete a paper of quality that would satisfy the substantial paper component of the Advanced Writing Requirement OR two
shorter writings that relate to privacy and/or cybersecurity. The topic for the written work(s) must be approved by the Concentration Director. However, any writing completed for a course listed under the Mandatory Courses, Core Elective Requirement, and Remaining Credit Requirement (except for Externship) shall satisfy the Writing Requirement upon presentment to the Concentration Director. A paper written for a journal may also qualify
for the Writing Requirement if it is preapproved by the Concentration Director. Optional Capstone: Students are encouraged to prepare for and take examinations to obtain privacy or security professional credentials. Should a student complete the CIPP certification from the IAPP, or any other professional credential approved by the Concentration Director, the Associate Director for Academic Affairs and the Concentration
